Buffalo Pound Field Trip – Saturday April 16, 2016

On Saturday, Apr 16th, Dale Hjertaas led a group of 26 people (including 8 members of the Regina Photo Club) out to Buffalo Pound Provincial Park.

Weather ranged from -5 at 10 a.m. to a sunny 14 degrees celcius by 3 p.m…. with no wind it was a lovely day!

2 Gadwall, 27 Mallard, 4 Northern Pintail, 78 Canvasback, 1 Common Merganser,
3 Double-crested Cormorants, 4 American White Pelicans,
3 Northern Harriers, 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 2 Merlins (perched on a stick nest in the bison paddock)
15 American Coots, 1 Killdeer, 11 Ring-billed Gulls, 1 Belted Kingfisher, 6 Black-billed Magpie,
6 American Crows, 1 Common Raven, 1 Tree Swallow, 3 Black-capped Chickadees,
