About the Event

The coverage of our count area will be approximately the same as last year.  In the Regina Count, we are open to doing some outside group walks in Wascana Park and places like that.  If you are interested in being part of that, let us know.

Started in 1900, the Christmas Bird Count is North America’s longest-running Citizen Science project. Counts happen in over 2000 localities throughout the Western Hemisphere.  Each Christmas Bird Count is conducted on a single day between December 14 and January 5. Counts are carried out within a 24-km diameter circle that stays the same from year to year.

If you are interested in participating, contact us at natureregina@gmail.com and we will hook you up with other enthusiasts.
