Nature Regina’s Field Trip on Saturday, Feb. 11th took place at Wascana Park in Regina, led by Brett Quiring.
Approximately 10 people were on the field trip.
It was about minus 15 or so with a light wind, clear day.
Quite a few birds were noted, and squirrels were seen. Here is the list of the birds found:
3 Snow Geese, 7 Canada Geese, a couple hundred Mallard Ducks, Pigeons, 2 Downy Woodpeckers, Back-billed Magpies, 8 each of Black-capped Chickadees and Red-breasted Nuthatches. 20 White-winged Crossbills, and House Sparrows.
For those who’d like to compare to the same trip done in February 2016, it can be seen here.
